The Truth About Final Fantasy XIII

It's no secret that we are big-time video game lovers in our family, and I am unfortunately no exception. I absolutely LOVE Final Fantasy in the geekiest possible way. I have played FF's VII, VIII, IX, X (three times, it's may favorite), X-2, XI, XII, and I am SO EXCITED to announce that Trent just bought me XIII!!! This long awaited treasure on the Play Station 3 has been haunting my dreams for the past couple of years. I knew the story line, the characters, and the battle modes before the game was even released. I am so excited to add it to my nerdy little collection, and I have to say that, so far, it has not disappointed in the least.
I average about 150-200 clock hours per FF game. I am a perfectionist when it comes to these little babies and I leave no area unexplored and no treasure box unopened. I believe the official title for me in the gaming world is "a power gamer" or a "completionsit." Trent also says "fanatic" would suffice, although I am not sure he meant that in a nice way. So how does a busy mom who works full time have time to clock that many hours on a mindless game and STILL manage to spend quality time with her darling baby?? That's easy. This is how:

Give him his own controller and a special seat on the couch right next to you and he is just happy as a clam. It's only natural that Asher would enjoy a good video game as much as him mommy and daddy does, and the Truth is... we could (and have) sit and play the day away with one another.

  2. Oh, my goodness -- I have a picture JUST LIKE THAT of baby Parker! It's great when parents share their loves, isn't it? :)
